Michael Dolan is a professional engineer with over 18 years of oil and gas experience specializing in production technology, real time optimization systems, and artificial lift methods. He has spent most of his career working within various Shell operating units, including Brunei Shell Petroleum, Shell Malaysia EP and Sakhalin Energy Company in the Asia Pacific region. He was well owner for three Shell platforms, including Shell’s largest gas producing platform in Brunei. His specialty areas include: integrated production system modeling (PROSPER, MBAL and GAP), real-time system monitoring & optimization, well modeling, well design, sand control, well performance analysis, well stimulation artificial lift methods, WinGLUE gas lift design & optimization software, well integrity management, and project management. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University. Michael was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, but now lives in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.
