Paul Horrell has 30+ years of operations & consulting experience in the refining and petrochemical industries. As an experienced consultant and project manager, much of Paul’s career has been focused on business process improvement through technology enablement. Key specialty areas include program management, process simulation and on-line optimization, value chain planning and scheduling, and business process analysis and design. He has implemented enterprise systems focused on business process improvement, training and mobilization change management. Paul was the Product Manager for an Inventory Management and Operations Scheduling solution that was implemented for several integrated oil companies. Paul has lived and worked in the UK, the US and Africa and completed projects in Europe, North America, Africa and Asia for Fortune 500 multinational oil companies and national oil companies. Paul holds a BSc Engineering (Chem) degree from the University of Cape Town, a post graduate diploma in Management of Oil Supply and Trading from The College of Petroleum and Energy Studies in Oxford, UK and is an accredited Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute.
